What is Career Rating?
Career Rating is the easiest, fastest, most confidential way of finding out what your colleagues – past or present – think of your job performance.

How does Career Rating work?
Simple! There are 3 easy steps: 1.You add a position to your account. This means a job that you held somewhere. 2.You create a survey – a list of questions that you want your coworkers to answer about your performance, or use one of already existing ones. 3. You send your colleague your survey with a simple note asking them to rate your work – all with just a click of a button. Done!

Why would I use Career Rating?
Career Rating is a great way to get a truthful evaluation of your performance.
If you’re looking for a new job, you can get a rating to send to potential employers.
If you simply want to know how your teammates would evaluate you, send them a quick survey.
You can set up ongoing Rating Requests, asking colleagues to evaluate you periodically. This way, you can see if you're progressing and improving on regular basis.
Remember – all ratings are confidential. That means your colleagues would give you actual representation of your performance.

How is my Career Rating calculated?
Our calucation system is highly complex and was created by industry-leading mathematicians.
In everyday terms, in order for your rating to be calculated, you need to send the Rating Request to at least 3 to 5 colleagues. Once results from these emails are received in your Career Rating Vault, their answers will be validated, averaged and weighted based on your relationship with colleagues, their own rating and large number of other factors.
We also find patterns to assure that your friends or problematic coworker does not distort your overall picture.

Why would I use Career Rating instead of just asking coworkers to write recommendations?
When using Career Rating, your colleauges can confidentially provide their positive and negative feedback of your performance. This gives you and your potential employers a true picture of how you have done on the job.

Using Career Rating is also a simple, automated process which takes just a few minutes and a few mouse clicks.

How does Career Rating ensure confidentiality of the rating process?
The person who requests the rating never sees the individual rating results. All results are anonymous and go into your confidential Career Rating "Vault". The User only sees the averages of his/her ratings.

Why is my Career Rating showing N/A?
Your Career Rating is showing N/A because you have not had at least 3-5 people evaluate you.

My coworker rated me, but my rating did not change. Why?
Our results system is based on group ratings, not individual ratings. Your result will not change because of one new rating. That is our way of ensuring confidentiality of the person who rated you.

Would potential employers be able to search for my profile?
Employers can subscribe to a service, which will allow them to search through an anonymous database of candidates. Employers will never see your name during the search. They will simply be able to contact you through our website. It will be your choice to reply or not reply to these inquiries.

So once I have a rating or a few, what do I do with them?
You can do numerous things with your Career Ratings to ensure that you get the maximum leverage from them.

For example:
You can add a link to your rating to your resume. Potential employers can click on this link to go to CareerRating.com and see all the results of your rating.

You can use your ratings to evaluate and improve your own performance. See where your colleagues have rated you lower and what you can work on. We’ll even organize your ratings into charts and graphs, in order to help you track your progress.
